Destinations & Diaries

As Travel Consultants we enter this industry because of our curiosity of destinations around the world and our passion for travel. We journey to different parts of the world to learn about the cultures, meet the people, and to see and experience the sights and sounds of places that are different from home. We also travel to keep in the know of the trends, the newest hotels & ships, and to revisit old favorites to see how they are holding up. It is our first-hand experiences and professional knowledge that we utilize when planning clients' travels.

We love sharing personal travel experiences here in our Destinations & Diaries. We share highlights of what we thought were outstanding elements of a trip, and even what may not have lived up to our expectations. We will also include helpful hints that could be valuable if you were to take a similar journey.

We encourage our clients to share your travel experiences with us as well. Travelers and visitors to our site would love to read which destinations you liked and why, or which destinations you did not enjoy. We want to know about the fabulous restaurant experience you had, the greatest shopping finds you came upon, what you may have explored off the beaten path ... we'd love to see your favorite photos too!

The St. Regis Resort in Bahia Beach, Puerto Rico is located at the northeastern part of the island, a short distance from El Yunque National Forest, and is surrounded by 5,000 acres of the Espíritu Santo River State Preserve. The resort is a 30 minute drive from the airport and from Old San Juan. The grounds are a natural beauty that feature a plant nursery, wildlife conservation, a nature center, and the Soul of Bahia Environmental Outreach Program.

Here is some feedback for future travelers:

SouthWild Tour company—Manuel, our guide for our entire trip was absolutely fantastic. He was with us for the entire week and was knowledgeable, with a great personality and really flexible. He also had a terrific sense of humor! Pilar the manager and Edgar our driver were also terrific.

I recently had the pleasure of traveling to Central America and was introduced to the beauty and luxury of Panama City, Nicaragua and Costa Rica, destinations I’ve never had the opportunity to visit previously.

Ann-Marie and Andrew recently had the pleasure of spending a few days at the Ritz Carlton Reserve in Dorado Beach.  It had been a number of years since either of us had visited Puerto Rico so we were anxious to visit the Island again...

All we can say is WOW... did we enjoy our trip. Jay would also like to include a couple of observations: The world really seems to like us (Americans) and the USA is a REALLY wonderful place to live!!

A place I never dreamed would capture my spirit and emotions in the way it did, I had the wonderful opportunity to join Leela Hotels & Palaces, Jet Airways and Abercrombie & Kent, along with a small group of industry colleagues on an intimate educational study tour of INDIA, October 20-29, 2009.

My travels to Mexico this past October 2009, brought me to the spectacular Banyan Tree Mayakoba - a new resort in the ever-popular playground that is the Riviera Maya, just a short drive south of Cancun.

Although the Canadian Rockies was on my wish list of travel destinations to visit for many years, I finally made the trip this summer and it exceeded every expectation and then some. Whenever I would mention the names Canadian Rockies, Jasper, Banff or Lake Louise to anyone asking me where I was going, the reaction was pretty much the same - "I've always wanted to go there", or "I hear it is so beautiful".

Lars and I had such a wonderful and seamless trip to Costa Rica - thanks to your expert planning!

Our client, Cathy G. recently returned from taking her mother on a trip to San Francisco, Oahu and Maui and wanted to share her experiences with all of you...
